Good Afternoon ICP!
We had a great weekend in Sacramento, as everyone returned home safely. There was a great appreciation for how we carried ourselves both on and on the court, and in turn we received a great deal of interest from neighboring teams who have committed to attend our Rose City Showcase in June!

All together we traveled with 39 players, 8 coaches and 50 parents. famil members, which brought our total close to 100 ICP Portland supporters....GREAT JOB everyone....hers how we finished;

13U went 3-1...finished in 3rd place
12U went 2-2
10U went 1-3
9U went 2-2..finished in 2nd place

Another GREAT JOB fellas, with a few more practices under our belt, I can see us winning our next (2) events Seattle Rotary Memorial Tourney and our own Rose City Showcase! Lets make sure that we make it to practice this weekend, atALl levels as we will have a tough road ahead of us for our Seattle trip in approximately 10 DAYS!!!!

QUICK NOTE!

We have also locked down our room blocks for Seattle (memorial weekend) and Las Vegas (July). We will be staying at our traditional Courtyard Marriott during Memorial Weekend and will be staying at Planet Hollywood during our July event. ALL reservations can be made independently, please remember to reference ICP Basketball to secure our GUARANTEED rate.

I will send out a separate email for anyone who needs the contact info on either hotel room block.

The only NEGATIVE note on the weekend, was the irresponsible actions of our oldest group (13U) in the upkeep of there connected TEAM suite. After checkout i was actually called back to the hotel as their suite was totally trashed. As we discussed in our meeting on Friday, we have an expectation and standard that we live by and leaving your room in the manner that it was left WILL NOT be tolerated.

As of now the 13U team is on standby for our Seattle tourney, so we will let everyone know by Monday if we will be taking this group up to Seattle for Memorial Weekend....Stay Tuned!

FYI....there was a 1 mile per item(left in the room) penalty for the entire 13U team (total 9 miles) will be ran this weekend, so make sure you bring something warm and YOUR RUNNING SHOES AS WE MAY NOT TOUCH A BASKETBALL THIS WEEKEND....COACH GUM WILL HAVE THE SPECIFICS ON FRIDAY

MEETINGS!

We will need to schedule team meetings for each level while we are in Seattle, as we discuss financing for our end of the year trip to Las Vegas in July. Team entry fees are the most important item right now as only our 13U team is OFFICIALLY entered in the Vegas event!

SHOUT-OUTS!

* Special thanks to our NEW speed and agility specialist Coach Gum. We are very blessed to have someone of her expertise, working with our fellas to improve their overall athleticism, flexibility and conditioning.

* We would like to give a VERY SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to the following parents for their commitment over the weekend with the additional support in air travel, carpooling, room assignments, and meals for additional kids. Tom Lininger (Eli's dad), Molly Bergin(Robert/ Conor's mom), Leslie Mondeaux(Henry's mom), Annalisa Royster(Marqueeses' mom), Aggy Hosey(Maliks' mom) and Synora Thirdgill (Maliks mom) went ABOVE and BEYOND this weekend, by allowing kids to ride, room and eat with them throughout the weekend, unconditionally........It is this village approach thatseperates our program from the rest for 12 years and running.....MUCH LOVE!!!

* Lastly, we would like to tip our hat to Coach Speedy, who adjusted in the 11th hour to ensure that his groups travel concerns/needs were addressed and tended to, for a very intense (72 hr) Weekend excursion......GREAT JOB Coach
